Tampa, FL law firm is seeking an experienced full-time Litigation Associate
A nationally recognized plaintiffs' law firm that exclusively represents victims of mesothelioma is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity for an energetic, driven, and detail-oriented attorney to build a meaningful career advocating for individuals and families impacted by asbestos exposure.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Admission to the Florida bar
3-5 years of litigation experience; plaintiff-side experience required
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage cases, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel frequently for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Commitment to plaintiff advocacy and passion for representing injured clients.
Preferred Experience:
Prior plaintiff asbestos litigation, personal injury, catastrophic injury, product liability, or premises liability experience.
Trial, deposition, research, and motion practice experience.
Judicial clerkship experience strongly considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough case investigations and manage all aspects of discovery.
Take and defend depositions, including expert and fact witnesses.
Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
Review and analyze case-related documents and evidence.
Prepare cases for trial, including trial strategy and witness preparation.
Serve as second or third chair at trial, with the potential to first chair after gaining experience.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing compassionate support and effective representation.
