Emergency Physician (PRN)
Location: VA Clinic Marion, IN

USGP is actively seeking a PRN Emergency Physician to support our veterans, active-duty service members, and their families at the VA Clinic in Marion, Indiana . This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a mission driven environment while gaining valuable federal facility experience. Position Details & Compensation:
- Schedule: Fridays, 12:00 AM Saturdays, 8:00 AM
- Compensation: $145.00/hour
- Location: VA Clinic | Marion, IN Qualifications:
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Certifications Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent emergency room experience (Residency training counts)
- Board Certification:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Licensure:
- Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia
Key Responsibilities:
As a PRN Emergency Physician, you will be responsible for the initial evaluation, urgent treatment, and ongoing care of patients with a broad spectrum of conditions. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Delivering general emergency medical care, including:
- Minor trauma and wound care
- Burn treatment
- Respiratory and GI symptom management
- Performing procedures such as:
- Laceration repair
- Catheterization
- Venous line insertion
- Spinal immobilization
- Managing acute issues across various specialty areas:
- Cardiovascular and metabolic emergencies
- Neurological and psychiatric crises
- OB/GYN and urologic conditions
- ENT, ophthalmic, and musculoskeletal trauma
- Infectious diseases and environmental exposures (e.g., hypothermia, neardrowning)
You ll play a crucial role in delivering timely, compassionate, and comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population.
