We are currently hiring baristas who bring professionalism, efficiency, and personality to every shift.. We are seeking a skilled and reliable barista with at least 1 year of specialty coffee experience who excels in multitasking , thrives in fast-paced environments, and delivers exceptional customer service with every order.
Job Responsibilities
Drink & Food Preparation:
- Pull espresso shots consistently with precision and timing
- Steam milk for lattes, flat whites, and cappuccinos to ideal texture and temperature
- Brew pour-overs, drip coffee, cold brew, and hot teas
- Describe the pastries in detail, prep grab-and-go items, and restock food displays
Multitasking & Time Management:
- Manage multiple drink tickets efficiently during peak periods
- Maintain calm, professional energy while balancing customer orders, cleaning, and bar support tasks
- Prioritize between preparing drinks, cleaning, and helping the next guest in line
- Assist teammates with register or prep duties as needed
Customer Interaction:
- Greet all guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly service
- Communicate menu options and answer product questions knowledgeably
- Operate POS to take orders, process payments, and handle tips
- Create an inviting atmosphere and treat every customer like a regular
Bar + Store Maintenance:
- Open/close café using daily checklists
- Keep espresso bar, prep stations, and dining area clean and stocked
- Rotate inventory, refill syrups/milks, and label items correctly
- Deep clean equipment regularly (espresso machine, grinders, etc.)
- Follow all health, safety, and food handling guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year barista experience
- Proven ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
- Comfortably managing 4+ drink orders at once during busy hours
- Knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, drink ratios, and workflow timing
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and on-time attendance
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic latte art skills (heart, tulip, rosetta)
- Experience using semi-automatic machines
- Experience with POS
- Valid California Food Handler’s Card
